Padel courts planned across UK locations
Padel’s rapid growth is prompting new facilities and proposals across the UK and Ireland. In Lancaster, a revised plan seeks permission for three outdoor courts at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre, reducing the original four-court scheme to retain more trees and adding a noise assessment. Powerleague has invested £860,000 in four covered courts at its Milton Keynes club, while Moyle Rovers GAA Club in Tipperary has applied to build three courts for community use. In Liverpool, plans would turn the former Daily Post & Echo printing hall into a padel club with competition courts, an academy, gym, spa and other amenities. Worcester’s Ravenmeadow Golf Centre has also proposed three outdoor courts, two with canopies, as part of an expansion of its recreational offering.
