Panthers' Moton Returns to Practice After Pulmonary Embolism

Carolina Panthers right tackle Taylor Moton has returned to practice after doctors found multiple blood clots in his right lung following episodes of coughing up blood in June. He spent months on blood thinners and away from football, but doctors have cleared him for contact and he is preparing as if he could play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. His return could help a Panthers team coping with injuries, including a knee issue affecting rookie right tackle Monroe Freeling. Moton said the experience was frightening, but he never considered retiring.
