Parks Set to Reopen After Millions in Upgrades
Several cities are reopening renovated parks with expanded recreational amenities. Fayetteville’s Walker Park is celebrating a $4–5 million renovation, while Tucson’s 48-acre Jacobs Park and Nicolas P. Ochoa Soccer Complex have received more than $9.1 million in upgrades, including new sports facilities, a skate park, playground improvements, shaded picnic areas and hundreds of trees. Oshawa’s Renaissance Park is also set to welcome residents back, with accessible paths linking to the waterfront trail, an inclusive playground and new native plantings. Each reopening includes opportunities for residents to gather and enjoy the renewed public spaces.
