Partnerships Expand Education, Community Collaboration
Community and educational partnerships are presented as practical ways to address complex needs by combining expertise, resources, and shared effort. In Columbia, local agencies and community members are developing a homelessness plan grounded in listening to people affected and coordinating action to prevent and reduce homelessness. In New Jersey, an ESL coach and a third-grade teacher collaborated on math instruction that helps a newcomer multilingual student build foundational skills while engaging the wider class. Houston City College and Space Center Houston have also partnered to expand STEM learning and create workforce pathways in fields including artificial intelligence, robotics, and aerospace.
