Passengers were forced to leap from their seats after a fight broke out aboard a London-bound flight, with dramatic video showing two men exchanging blows in the aisle as fellow travelers scrambled to intervene. The incident happened Sept. 16 aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight traveling from Sylhet, Bangladesh, to London Heathrow, according to Fox News. The flight can take more than 11 hours, according to FlightAware. Video obtained by Jam Press and later shared on social media shows the two men fighting in the aircraft cabin. At one point, one passenger's T-shirt appears to be badly torn during the confrontation. The altercation reportedly started with an argument before the situation became physical. The reason for the dispute was not immediately known. Passengers can be seen leaving their seats as the men continued fighting. Several travelers, including both men and women, attempted to pull the pair apart while others moved away from the confrontation. Children and elderly passengers were also among those aboard the flight, according to Jam Press. The airline confirmed that a physical altercation occurred during the flight and said members of the cabin crew eventually intervened. "The flight departed Sylhet for London this morning," Mohiuddin Ahmed, general manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines' public relations department, said. "At some point during the flight, two passengers got into a physical altercation." "The cabin crew later intervened and resolved the situation between them," Ahmed added. Sylhet is located in northeastern Bangladesh, roughly 125 miles northeast of Dhaka. The lengthy international route to London made the confrontation particularly disruptive for those aboard. The incident comes amid other recent reports of fights and disruptive behavior on commercial aircraft. Earlier this summer, an easyJet flight traveling from Tenerife to Liverpool returned to the airport after a fight involving about 10 passengers reportedly broke out shortly after takeoff. In 2024, an American Airlines passenger was taken into custody after allegedly injuring a flight attendant while attempting to open a cabin door. Three other passengers reportedly restrained him with tape. Watch the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLlbN37SQZ4
