Pennsylvania Impersonation Scams Reportedly Cost Three Victims $2,400

Two women from Avella, Pennsylvania, were reportedly scammed out of about $1,000 by someone impersonating Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Eli Heidenreich. The victims, ages 20 and 50, lost the money through multiple financial transactions in incidents reported during the summer. Pennsylvania State Police have not identified a suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact their Washington barracks. Heidenreich, a Pittsburgh-area native and seventh-round 2026 draft pick, is on the Steelers’ active roster.
