PGA Tour drops Oneflight amid fraud allegations
The PGA Tour has ended ONEflight International’s co-title sponsorship of the Myrtle Beach Classic after the private aviation company halted operations and faced multiple lawsuits alleging fraud and a Ponzi-like scheme. The allegations include claims that ONEflight retained customers’ prepaid funds and used customer money to cover earlier obligations and sponsorships; they remain allegations in court filings. The tournament will go ahead May 13–16, 2027, at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, with Visit Myrtle Beach as sole title sponsor and no reported change to the purse. Steve Mays, a longtime Myrtle Beach golf industry leader, has been appointed tournament director. The Tour is discussing sponsorship beyond 2027 with Visit Myrtle Beach and potential partners, while the event’s longer-term place and format on the Tour remain uncertain.
