Pickup Rolls Down Embankment Into Springfield Grocery Store

A pickup truck crashed through a fence and into the rear of the H.G. Hill Food Store in Springfield, Tennessee, on Sunday night after its driver lost control while traveling along an alley and down a steep embankment. The crash damaged the store and caused several thousand dollars in product losses, but no injuries were reported. Springfield police took the woman driving the truck into custody and are investigating; officials have not confirmed whether she has been charged or why she was detained. The store reopened or expected to reopen Monday despite the damage.
