PLD Space extends Series C by €108 million

PLD Space extended its Series C by €108 million to €288 million, with Mitsubishi Electric once again leading the round. The total funding now reaches €488 million, and the new capital is earmarked to industrialise and commercialise the Miura 5, including expanded manufacturing, testing, and launch infrastructure. New investors joining the round include Endeavor Catalyst and the Spain Oman Private Equity Fund, with COFIDES participating again. The company also secured a €158.9 million contract from the European Space Agency under the European Launcher Challenge, boosting its role in Europe’s space-access ambitions. PLD Space plans the Miura 5’s inaugural flight from Europe Spaceport in Kourou by the end of 2026, while continuing expansion of its Guiana Space Centre facilities. This extension follows a €180 million Series C in March and other financing rounds, highlighting its rapid growth toward becoming a global commercial launch provider.
