PNB Andhra Pradesh sign Quantum Finance Hub MoU
AP Government and Punjab National Bank signed an MoU to establish India’s first bank-led Quantum Finance Hub at Amaravati Quantum Valley, aiming to unite industry, academia, startups, and government to develop secure, intelligent banking solutions and strengthen cybersecurity and fraud detection. The hub is positioned to support next-generation banking through collaboration, research, and a skilled workforce, addressing rapid digital transformation and evolving security challenges in the sector. Punjab National Bank’s Ashok Chandra inaugurated the hub, making it the first bank in India to partner with a state government for such an initiative. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu highlighted that the partnership will accelerate research, innovation, and skill development, advancing a digital banking future and potentially turning Amaravati into a global center for deep technologies. The effort emphasizes industry-academia partnerships and the adoption of AI and quantum computing to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and secure digital infrastructure for the financial sector.
