Police-Related Assault Charges Reported in Three Cities

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Ana Mora Terrero turned herself in after being charged with misdemeanor simple assault over an alleged off-duty incident. Court documents say she is accused of punching and scratching another woman. Terrero, who joined CMPD in February 2024 and was assigned to the North Tryon Division, has been placed on unpaid administrative leave while CMPD and its Internal Affairs division conduct separate investigations.
