Trump, Mamdani plan Gracie Mansion meeting
President Donald Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani are scheduled to meet Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at Gracie Mansion, the mayor's official residence on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The session will be their third in-person meeting and the first in New York. Mamdani's office said it will focus on issues affecting New York City and New Yorkers. Officials have released no agenda, timing, or press-access details. Trump will be in New York that week to address the UN General Assembly. They met at the White House in November 2025 and again in an unscheduled February 2026 Oval Office meeting where Mamdani pitched 12,000 housing units over Sunnyside Yard and presented a mock Daily News front page reading "Trump to City: Let's Build." Last week, six local governments led by New York City sued the Trump administration over a new green-card immigration rule. CONTESTED: Outlets report the same date, location, and office statement without conflicting figures. Timing and press access remain unreleased.
