Trump Rallies for Marshall in Kansas

President Donald Trump rallied in Park City, Kansas, on Monday for Republican Sen. Roger Marshall, who faces a closely contested challenge from Democrat Adam Hamilton. Kansas Republican leaders and other candidates attended, and Trump and Marshall criticized Hamilton. Several protesters were removed from the event, and Trump claimed without evidence that they were paid. Hamilton’s campaign said the rally would not distract from voters’ concerns about fuel costs, health care affordability and political corruption. The visit was part of Trump’s broader midterm campaign push amid low presidential approval and widespread voter pessimism about the country’s direction.
