Child Sexual Abuse Cases Span Four States
Authorities reported several separate child sexual exploitation and abuse cases across the country. In Texas, Borger resident Tharon Thomas Drake was federally charged with receiving child sexual abuse material after investigators reportedly recovered more than 50 images and videos; he faces five to 20 years in prison if convicted. In Colorado, Mark Lee Scott was arrested in Ohio on a Pueblo County warrant alleging child sexual exploitation after an investigation prompted by a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and he is awaiting extradition. In Oklahoma and Texas, James Michael Nona, who allegedly fled while on bond in an unrelated case and used aliases, faces an additional Choctaw County warrant alleging lewd or indecent acts with a child; two Louisiana residents last seen with him before his arrest remain missing. In South Carolina, Easley resident Justin Tony Burnett Ahl, also identified in one report as Ahi, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and is being held without bond; officials withheld further details because of the victim’s age and the nature of the case.
