NASCAR Figures Endorse Trump at Rallies
NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty appeared with President Donald Trump at a midterm campaign rally in Greenville, North Carolina, and urged voters to support Republican candidates. Using a racing metaphor, Petty called Trump the “best driver” and described the candidates as the pit crew he needs to advance his agenda, with control of Congress at stake. Trump was campaigning for Senate hopeful Michael Whatley and congressional candidate Laurie Buckhout. Danica Patrick, whose past public clashes with Petty have been widely reported, appeared with Trump at a Kansas rally the previous night and also voiced support for him.
