President Donald Trump on Oct. 26, 2026, posted on Truth Social that anybody reporting voter fraud in past elections or the upcoming 2026 midterm election will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the fraud. At Joint Base Andrews near Air Force One he told reporters he would issue a million-dollar bonus or reward for anyone whose tip leads to an arrest and conviction, adding that person gets a million dollars. Eric Daugherty called it an amazing idea and said Trump just deputized the entire nation. Ed Krassenstein said Trump is desperate for Republicans to win the midterms and that the offer will ensure plenty of erroneous reports on Election Day as a stepping stone to overturning elections. Brian Krassenstein said he would claim the million by reporting 2020 fraud when Trump claimed he won but did not; Jennifer Erin Valent asked whether wanting to find 11,780 votes counts. Trump gave no funding source, administering agency, or claims-verification process. The Justice Department plans about 1,000 federal election observers under the Voting Rights Act. Reports cited 48 non-citizen voting indictments unveiled Monday and 16 on Oct. 12. Midterms are set for Nov. 3, 2026.
