Tennessee Senator Admits Sending Unsolicited Nude Photos
Tennessee Republican state Sen. Brent Taylor, a candidate for the U.S. House in the redrawn 9th District, acknowledged sending unsolicited nude photos after the Nashville Scene reported that multiple people had received or seen them. One person said they received a photo in 2021, when Taylor was 53. Taylor described the conduct as past or “youthful indiscretions,” said his wife knew about it and had forgiven him, and called the renewed attention campaign-season politics, arguing voters were focused on their families and everyday costs. Democratic opponent state Rep. Justin Pearson condemned the behavior as predatory and said it should not be minimized. The allegations surfaced shortly before Election Day as Taylor and Pearson competed for a seat representing parts of Memphis.
