Counties Urge Voters to Verify Polling Locations

Election officials are urging voters to verify their polling places before Election Day because of location changes. Nearly 50 polling sites in Allegheny County have moved since the May primary, and eight precincts in Gwinnett County, Georgia, are affected, including precinct 059, which moved at short notice from Landmark Church to Unity Atlanta Church after an ownership change. Miami-Dade County says 19 precincts will use temporary polling locations because of facility availability and other circumstances. Voters can check assigned locations through county or state election websites; polls in Allegheny County will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Miami-Dade polls from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
