Mike Collins Makes Final Georgia Senate Campaign Push
Republican Rep. Mike Collins spent the final stretch of Georgia’s Senate campaign meeting supporters in Macon and Savannah before a planned election-night gathering in Atlanta, seeking to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff. Collins urged voters to help Republicans flip Georgia and blamed Democrats and Ossoff for inflation and high prices; supporters cited shared values and personal contact with him. Georgia polls were scheduled to close at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Separately, Republican Sen. Susan Collins campaigned in northern Maine ahead of her election-night event. An October poll cited in local coverage showed her Democratic challenger, Jackson, leading 54% to 45%, although most surveyed voters expected Collins to win.
