Minnesota Man Convicted of Threatening Bondi
A federal jury in Minnesota convicted 30-year-old Tyler Maxon Avalos of transmitting an interstate threat after he posted a TikTok image offering $45,000 for then-U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi “dead or alive,” preferably dead. The image showed a rifle-scope-style crosshair over Bondi’s forehead and included a comment questioning what people should do when officials do not serve them. Investigators traced Avalos to the post after a social media user reported it to the FBI in October 2025. Avalos remains free on bond pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled; his lawyer said he disagreed with the verdict and planned to appeal.
