Armed Venezuelan arrested near White House said voices told him to kill Trump
Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos, a Venezuelan man, was arrested Thursday near the White House after Secret Service officers found him in a reported stolen car parked on Constitution Avenue. Authorities say he told officers voices in his head had directed him to come to Washington and kill President Donald Trump. Officers found an AR-15-style rifle, two handguns and dozens of rounds of ammunition in the vehicle. Reports say he faces firearm-related charges, with one report also citing theft and receiving stolen property charges; he entered the United States in 2024 and was released after being apprehended at the Texas border. He remains in federal custody, and ICE has lodged an immigration detainer.
