Poll: Haaland Leads Hull by 7 Points
A new Albuquerque Journal poll shows Democrat Deb Haaland leading Republican Gregg Hull 49% to 42% among likely New Mexico voters, with 9% undecided. The margin is little changed from August, suggesting Haaland has not widened her advantage and Hull has not substantially closed it as Election Day approaches. Haaland’s support is strongest among Democrats, women and Hispanic voters, and she has raised substantially more campaign money, while Hull continues to face limited name recognition. Both candidates say they see a path to victory; Hull has questioned the poll’s methodology and timing, while analysts say the race reflects New Mexico’s Democratic voter advantage.
