Possible Human Skull Fragment Found in Oro Valley

Oro Valley police say a fragment believed to be part of a human skull was found Oct. 7 in a wash near Vistoso Park and Innovation Park. No other remains were found, and the fragment has been sent to the Pima County Medical Examiner for examination; its origin and how long it had been there are unknown. The discovery drew attention because it is in the broader area where Nancy Guthrie disappeared, but authorities have not established any connection between the fragment and her case.
