North Carolina Ticket Wins $2 Million in Powerball Drawing
No ticket matched all six numbers in the Oct. 31 Powerball drawing, so the jackpot rolled over to an estimated $793 million, with a cash option of about $339.9 million. A North Carolina ticket won $2 million by matching all five white balls, and another ticket in the state won $50,000 by matching four white balls and the Powerball. A Boston ticket also won $50,000 with a four-white-ball-and-Powerball match, while a Florida player won $50,000 in the separate Powerball Double Play drawing. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 2.
