Public art groups mark milestones across three regions
Art Below is marking 20 years of turning London Underground advertising spaces into temporary galleries, giving emerging and established artists a more accessible platform alongside the high-cost Frieze London art fair. Its exhibitions have featured artists including Banksy, whose 2010 poster was removed after a dispute over its imagery. Separately, Edmond is celebrating 25 years of public art: its collection has grown from 13 works in 2001 to 377, with a 62-acre sculpture park planned for 2027. In Williamsport, Public ARTWORKS is marking its 20th anniversary with a new mosaic honoring local history and the late founding committee member Mark Murawski, while continuing its mission to bring public art to Lycoming County.
