Radiohead’s Thom Yorke regrets writing ‘High and Dry’
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke said he wishes he had not written “High and Dry,” the acoustic, singer-songwriter-style song from the band’s 1995 album The Bends, though he added that there is nothing wrong with it. In a conversation with Harry Styles, Yorke described his musical tastes as leaning more toward folk, film and electronic music, and said he now approaches his voice as one element in a broader production. The hit peaked at No. 17 in the U.K. and became one of Radiohead’s best-known songs. Yorke also said he was already eager to move on from OK Computer by the time the acclaimed album was released.
