Rain Forecasts Alter Halloween Plans Across Regions
Halloween plans are continuing across several communities despite unsettled weather: in Russell, organizers moved the annual parade indoors because of light rain, while families still enjoyed costumes, treats and a trunk-or-treat event. In California’s Central Valley, residents said they planned to celebrate despite forecast rain, and the California Highway Patrol urged drivers to slow down and watch for slick roads. Forecasts elsewhere were more favorable, with dry conditions expected for trick-or-treating in South Central Kentucky until later in the evening and no Halloween rain forecast in qathet; the DFW forecast also said rain was not expected to spoil many plans. Qathet’s Halloween offerings included haunted walks, pumpkin carving, a ghost train and a spooky forest walk.
