Rain, Storms Expected Across Southern, Mid-Atlantic States
Washington, D.C., is forecast to stay warm and mostly sunny Tuesday and Wednesday before rain chances rise Thursday and become more likely Friday; cooler, drier weather is expected over the weekend. Central and southern Alabama could see scattered, generally light showers Tuesday, with storms possible Wednesday before drier weather later in the week. In Middle Tennessee, rain and thunderstorms are expected overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, potentially disrupting commutes and bringing around 1 to 2 inches of rain, followed by cooler conditions. A separate forecast for Maryland also points to dry weather giving way to late-week rain, while an Eastern Washington report says Thursday will be wet after currently dry conditions.
