Rain Threatens South Florida, Tennessee, Upper Midwest
Knoxville is expected to warm into the upper 70s Tuesday after a damp Sunday and cloudy Monday, before rain arrives Wednesday and Thursday; cooler weather follows into the weekend. South Florida faces a more immediate flooding threat, with repeated downpours, a Flood Watch, coastal flooding and dangerous surf, though conditions should improve by midweek. In the WSLS coverage area, Monday morning rain is expected to clear, with showers returning late Wednesday into Thursday; forecasters do not currently expect the approaching system to bring severe weather there. Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is forecast to see several rounds of rain through Thursday, totaling about two inches in many areas and up to three inches in the west, followed by drier conditions.
