Rangers fall 7-4, road winless streak reaches six
The Ottawa Senators beat the New York Rangers 7-4 on Saturday, capitalizing on a slow start and defensive breakdowns that left New York trailing 3-0 and later 4-1. Drake Batherson scored three goals and added an assist, while Jake Sanderson’s goal proved decisive. The Rangers twice pulled within one, with goals from Will Cuylle, J.T. Miller, Alexis Lafreniere and Pavel Dorofeyev, but Ottawa sealed the win with empty-netters. Rangers coach Mike Sullivan said the team was not ready from the opening puck drop and credited line changes with helping shift momentum, though he said the team continued to allow dangerous chances.
