Zillow Data Ranks Fastest Home Price Growth in Five Metros

Zillow data compiled by Stacker put the typical U.S. home value at $369,678 in August, 1.3% above the prior year. In the Valdosta metro, Barney, GA, posted a 13.1% one-year gain to $255,551, while Hahira held the highest typical value at $301,240. Greensboro, AL, led the Tuscaloosa metro with a 9.9% rise to $151,239; Northport was the metro's highest at $289,705. In Texarkana, Ashdown, AR, climbed 12.2% to $161,973 even as Simms, TX, dropped 6.4% to $217,392 and Leary, TX, dropped 7.4%. In The Villages metro, Coleman, FL, rose 7.7% to $185,425, and The Villages remained the highest-priced city at $392,083 despite a 1.1% decline.
