Red Wings reportedly near Dylan Larkin trade
Reports say the Detroit Red Wings may trade Dylan Larkin soon, though no deal has been confirmed. TSN’s Darren Dreger says Detroit is seeking a package of three or four assets: two high-end prospects, a first-round pick and an NHL-ready top-nine forward. Larkin’s no-trade clause limits the potential market to destinations he approves, and reports identify Minnesota as an aggressive suitor; Montreal is interested but may not be an option unless he agrees to go there. The trade talks follow Larkin’s offseason request to leave Detroit and the team’s decision to remove his captaincy, while his contract carries an $8.7 million annual cap hit through 2031.
