Regional chambers draw 1,300 to annual events honoring business leaders
The Green River Chamber of Commerce will host its 11th Holiday Business Showcase Nov. 20–21, featuring local vendors, a small-business-season ribbon cutting, beverage samples and a visit from Santa. In Duluth, the chamber’s 156th annual meeting drew about 1,300 attendees and highlighted regional economic development and business advocacy; city priorities include expanding housing, investing in infrastructure and revitalizing downtown. The Kalispell Chamber’s annual Grand Event honored local leaders and organizations, presenting its Flathead Legacy Award posthumously to philanthropist and business owner Paul D. Wachholz and naming Will Schmautz Businessperson of the Year. The event also recognized other contributors and underscored the chamber’s focus on collaboration, workforce development, child care and downtown revitalization.
