The 2026 NESCAC and West Coast Conference cross-country championships are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30, with Middlebury hosting the NESCAC meet and the University of San Diego staging the WCC races at Mission Bay. Middlebury’s women enter ranked No. 2 nationally in Division III after winning the Connecticut College Invitational, while the men seek the program’s second NESCAC title. At the WCC meet, departures by Gonzaga, Oregon State and Washington State mean both team races will crown new champions; preseason polls favor Portland in both, with San Francisco also among the leading contenders. San Diego’s teams finished ninth in both WCC races last year, while Portland and BYU won the 2016 titles the last time USD hosted.
