Regional Galleries Showcase Illustration, Prints, Art

Arts organizations across the U.S. and U.K. are presenting exhibitions and programs centered on visual art, illustration and creative practice. In Northampton, R. Michelson Galleries’ annual Children’s Illustration Celebration will honor established and emerging picture-book artists, with exhibits running through Jan. 31, 2027; a Pownal library will also display Michael Horwitz’s children’s illustrations and related work from November through December. Fine Line Creative Arts Center is showing St. Louis artist Brian Lathan’s prints, which explore self-care, avoidance and inner life through vivid imagery. In Hancock, a five-artist exhibition brings together contemporary paintings, textiles and ceramics, including works by Joyce Koskenmaki and former students, as part of the city’s Finno-Ugric Capital of Culture programming. The Museum of Royal Worcester is offering sketching taster sessions and a longer course that invites participants to draw and document the museum’s porcelain collection.
