Pioneer Days and Frontier Trail Events Mark Local History This Fall

Communities are marking local history through public heritage events and projects. A Masonic cemetery is planning an America 250 celebration, while officials in Tennessee celebrated completed sections of the First Frontier Trail. Alabama’s Pioneer Museum rescheduled Pioneer Days for Oct. 30–31, featuring traditional arts demonstrations and access to its collections. Pioneer Acres will hold its first Old Time Christmas on Nov. 7, with wagon rides, crafts, exhibits and seasonal refreshments.
