Regional Infrastructure Projects Underway, Set to Begin

Water-main construction and replacement projects are beginning in Braidwood, Illinois; Elkridge, Maryland; and Northwood and nearby Ohio townships. Braidwood’s project is expected to run from early November into December, with possible interruptions to water service and no street parking in the work area. In Elkridge, crews plan to replace about 400 feet of water main on Lori Lane, with weekday lane closures possible and completion expected by early December 2026. In Ohio, a $1.8 million valve-replacement project may bring lane shifts on East Broadway Street and later road closures on Walbridge Road and East Broadway Street near Route 795.
