Renault Revenue Rises 1.4%, Vehicle Sales Fall
Renault reported third-quarter revenue of about €11.6 billion, up 1.4% at constant exchange rates and ahead of analysts’ expectations, as strong growth in its financing division and demand for electric models offset a nearly flat automotive business. Vehicle sales fell 6% to 497,799, with declines at Dacia and Renault, while Alpine sales rose and electric-vehicle sales in Europe increased sharply. Renault cited intense competition, including pressure from Chinese automakers, alongside higher raw-material costs and inflation. The company maintained its full-year operating-margin target of about 5.5% and expects a slight improvement in the second half, though the usual seasonal uplift will be more limited.
