Report: Kings’ Christie Not on Hot Seat

Despite opening the season 0-5, Sacramento is not planning an immediate coaching change, with the organization believing Doug Christie should be evaluated when key injured players return. Ben Simmons is out for the season with an Achilles tear, while Keegan Murray, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell are also sidelined. The Kings’ priorities include developing Christie and their young players, though continued losses could increase pressure on the coach. Rookie Darius Acuff Jr.’s 34-point, 14-assist performance against New Orleans offered a bright spot amid the difficult start.
