Restaurant Brands Plan, Eye Maryland Expansion
Several restaurant developments are shaping Maryland’s dining scene: Michelin-recognized Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings plans to open its third Maryland location at The Mall in Columbia, while halal Mexican street-food chain Eat More Taco has signed a lease for its first Maryland restaurant in College Park. Piccolo Buco, Cooper’s Hawk’s pizza-focused spinoff, is reportedly close to leasing a location in Fairfax County and is also scouting suburban Maryland sites. Separately, Baltimore’s PaperMoon Diner was named Maryland’s most famous diner in a Business Insider feature, which praised its eclectic, toy-filled decor and comfort-food menu; the selection was editorial, not a formal ranking.
