Former Stone Brewing Site Among Five Restaurant Openings and Revamps

Stone Brewing co-founder Greg Koch and Steve Wagner are keeping the Escondido bistro and gardens open under a new name after the site was excluded from the brewery’s sale. In London, historic Quaglino’s has reopened for lunch under new ownership, pairing classic dishes with a £10 lunch menu as it seeks to revive its role in the city’s dining scene. Brisbane’s Peach Cafe offers an all-day menu of brunch favorites and substantial lunch dishes in a leafy, family- and dog-friendly setting. Portland’s Bar Sprezzatura, chef Michael Mina’s first restaurant in the city, has opened at the renovated Heathman Hotel with Venetian-inspired food made with Pacific Northwest ingredients. On Australia’s Mornington Peninsula, Mr Vincenzo’s has expanded to three times its former size, adding a wine bar and terrace alongside a refreshed Mediterranean-leaning menu.
