Restaurants Plan National First Responders Day Offers

Restaurants and local businesses are offering food deals for National First Responders Day on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026. Participating McDonald’s locations in Roanoke and North Carolina will provide eligible first responders a free small breakfast combo; guests must be in uniform or show identification. Ford’s Garage is offering eligible first responders a free burger entrée or up to $16 off another entrée at participating locations nationwide, with dine-in and valid identification required. Doherty-owned Applebee’s in parts of New York and New Jersey will offer eligible first responders, including nurses, 50% off an entrée for dine-in. A Belpre appreciation event is also advertising a free lunch for first responders.
