Ricki Lake Says Rosie O'Donnell Later Got Facelift
Ricki Lake said on The Weekend View that Rosie O'Donnell was initially judgy of Lake and friends who saw the same doctor for facelifts. "She's like, 'Why do you need it?' And then, sure enough, she lost a bunch of weight on Mounjaro, and she went and had it done," Lake said. Lake, 58, had a deep-plane lower face and neck lift plus mild CO2 laser in 2024 by Dr. Alan Foulad after losing 40 pounds naturally. She said she was not trying to look 20, keeps natural gray hair, owns her age, and is thrilled with the results. The remarks aired Saturday, October 31; she marked the one-year anniversary on Instagram on July 18. O'Donnell, 64, had a lower deep-plane facelift in January after losing 50 pounds. In a May Substack essay she wrote: "I used to feel very strongly about facelifts. Not casually — morally. I had assigned myself as head of all women who would never, ever." She called it a betrayal of feminism, aging, and women worldwide until the weight loss, described gravity rather than wrinkles in the mirror, and said her son Clay initially discouraged her. She also wrote that right before surgery she told her doctor she would never wish he had done more. CONTESTED: No factual disputes identified among the rated outlets.
