Road-Rage Shootings in Tennessee Under Investigation

A road-rage confrontation on Atlas Drive in South Nashville left a 37-year-old pickup driver with a facial gunshot wound. A 63-year-old driver told police the pickup driver had followed him after an argument on the road and struck his vehicle as he turned into a parking lot; he said he fired two shots because he feared the other driver. The pickup driver initially denied a collision but acknowledged it after police said they were reviewing surveillance footage. No charges have been filed, and the case is being reviewed by the district attorney. Separately, in La Vergne, a man was charged with aggravated assault after police said he fired a shot into the air during a road-rage dispute.
