Road reopenings reported across New York, Missouri

A critical collision shut down Scott Boulevard at West Gillespie Bridge Road in southwest Columbia, with officials advising drivers to use alternate routes and giving no reopening time. In Greenburgh, New York, northbound lanes of the Sprain Brook Parkway reopened after a crash investigation caused hours of closures and backups; police have not disclosed whether anyone was injured or what caused the crash. New managed-use lanes on New York City’s Van Wyck Expressway also opened Friday after years of construction. In Columbia, Clark Lane at Hanover Boulevard was expected to reopen Friday after a roughly two-month closure for construction of a roundabout and related improvements. Residents said detour traffic had brought speeding concerns to nearby neighborhoods, while Columbia’s bus service planned to resume its normal Clark Lane route Saturday.
