Rob Reiner wins posthumous Emmy, breaks decades-old record

Rob Reiner won a posthumous Emmy for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for his role as Albert Schnurr in FX’s The Bear. Presenter Wendi McLendon-Covey accepted the award on his behalf as the audience gave Reiner a standing ovation. The honor made Reiner the first posthumous acting Emmy winner since Raul Julia in 1995 and set a 48-year gap between acting Emmy wins, surpassing the record previously held by his father, Carl Reiner.
