Roche Reports 44% Lower Lung Cancer Death Risk
Roche reported that its Phase 3 KRAScendo 1 trial found divarasib improved survival and disease control compared with sotorasib or adagrasib in people with previously treated KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer. Divarasib reduced the risk of death by 44%, with median overall survival of about 18 months versus 12 months for the existing inhibitors, and lowered the risk of disease progression or death by 42%. The trial also showed improved progression-free survival and response rates. Reports described the drug’s safety profile as manageable, with no new safety signals and fewer high-grade treatment-related adverse events noted by the trial investigator. Researchers said the findings could support divarasib as a future treatment standard, though it remains investigational.
