Roche seals $1.53B Simcere trispecific deal

Roche agreed to pay $75 million upfront to Simcere Zaiming for exclusive global rights to SIM0660, a preclinical trispecific antibody designed to engage T cells (via CD3) and target B-cell antigens CD79a and CD19, aiming at B-cell–mediated diseases and autoimmune conditions. The deal allows Roche to lead development, manufacturing, and commercialization, with Simcere Zaiming eligible to receive up to $1.53 billion in total payments and tiered royalties that could reach double digits on future net sales. SIM0660’s design seeks potent T-cell–mediated cytotoxicity while limiting cytokine release syndrome, potentially offering broad coverage across diseases and a differentiated option for patients previously treated with CD20- or CD19-directed therapies.
