Russia Detains Teen Over Moscow Park Attack Threat

Russia's FSB said it detained a minor Russian citizen after verifying U.S.-provided information about preparations for a terrorist attack at Moscow's Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. The U.S. Embassy had warned on X of a credible threat of a mass-casualty event on October 31 at Dolskaya Ulitsa 1 and said it was coordinating with Russian authorities. The FSB said the teenager posted TikTok photos of himself in tactical clothing, a cap, goggles and headphones holding an object resembling an automatic weapon, and photos on the museum grounds with the caption "I found a place." In a Sunday statement the FSB said the check was done with the National Guard, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Investigative Committee. Baza reported the park closed Saturday before later reopening. One account said the FSB indicated the suspect was allegedly subscribed to a neo-Nazi Telegram channel. Right-rated coverage noted a similar embassy warning around the April 2024 Crocus City Hall attack. Charges and further investigation steps were not detailed in the coverage.
