The New York Liberty announced that Satou Sabally will miss the remainder of the WNBA season after suffering a head injury and concussion, marking her second concussion in under a year. She had played 13 games this season and had been away from the team since mid-August while recovering. Sabally had previously endured a concussion in the 2025 WNBA Finals with Phoenix and later posted that she would miss the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Germany to focus on full recovery. This is rough for Liberty's depth but Sabally's long-term health matters way more than a title chase right now.
Two concussions in a year is scary. Health has to come before any playoff push, hope she takes all the time she needs to fully recover.
